Bruins Alumni vs. Surfers – 3/21/10 @ 4pm

February 1st, 2010

Hi everyone,

One of our dad’s is playing in this event.  Boston Bruins Alumni vs. the Surfers! All proceeds are going to the Molly Rowlee Foundation, that supports families with children who are fighting cancer.  Molly was the daughter of good friends of his in North Hampton.  It is right here at the Rinks in Exeter, March 21st at 4 pm.  Tickets  are $10 per adult and children free.  They can can be purchased at at Pioneers (North Hampton), Cinnamon Rainbows (Hampton) and Philbrick’s Sports (Dover).  Or you can let me know how many you need and I can get them directly from Tony.  They are also looking for local businesses to help support this event by purchasing add space.  There are different sizes and costs.  If you are interested in placing an add I have the info for that as well.

Should be a good time, hope to see you there!

2010 Family survey & conferences

January 25th, 2010

Hello everyone,

Please, Please, Please, take a moment to fill out a family survey – return it to the mailbox outside the front office door. This is a great opportunity to tell us how we are doing, not only that, but Appleseeds is up for is full re-accreditation from NAEYC this September,  and they have asked for at least 80% of the surveys returned, currently we’ve only got about 10%. (Please note, these are completely anonymous.)

Also, our teachers are finishing up their winter assessments of your children due out to you by the second week of February.  We’ll be scheduling a parent/teacher conferences to discuss the assessment or anything else, just let us know. We have an open door policy, if you’d like to meet any time throughout the year please don’t hesitate to ask.  We would be happy meet anytime.

Thanks for all you help and continued support!  We are always open for other feedback so if you have any ideas or suggestions, feel free to send me an email or drop me a note in the mailbox outside the office door (anonymously or not, it’s up to you).

Thanks!

Collecting non-perishables for the NH Food Bank

October 30th, 2009

Hello everyone,

Many of you may have noticed the non-perishables NH Food Bank collection box in the the main hallway, their supplies are very low due to these economic times, and they are asking for any help they can get. Sunbridge retirement home and Appleseeds have teamed up to collect non-perishable food donations for the food bank. We’ll be collecting donations until the end of November.

A very special “Thank you!” to the kindergartners and the residents at the Sunbridge retirement home for creating the collection box; on 10/16 the kindergartners visited Sunbridge, and while they were there the children and some of the residents worked together to decorate the box.  It was a very special time for both centers.

Soon we will soon be adding another collection box for gently used clothing, coats and shoes. Be on the look out for that too! This can be a great opportunity to talk to your children about helping others, giving and involve them in the process.

Thanks for your help!
